Event Details

This year marks the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), which aims to inspire action towards the goals set in the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. With the UN naming climate change as the single greatest threat facing our world, these agreements aspire towards lofty goals to keep global temperatures down. A list of necessary achievements that COP26 must meet this year will be covered during this conference:
– Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach
– Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
– Mobilize finances to developing countries to increase their resilience toward climate change
– Work to streamline collaboration globally between governments, businesses, and civil societies as to deliver these promised changes.
Representatives from over 200 countries, businesses, NGOs, faith groups, and more will gather in Glasgow from October 31st to November 12th. The agreements, keynote speeches, and goalsetting concluded at the end of COP26 should serve as a benchmark for America’s thought leaders, solution providers, and end-users hoping to become more sustainable in the near future.
