From November 19-22, the world’s largest convention for green building professionals will be held in Atlanta, GA. Greenbuild International Conference and Expo will attract over 10,000 visitors from over 93 countries, featuring approximately 550 exhibitors offering every ingredient that goes into the built environment, all with a sustainability focus. From the latest flooring, wall systems, windows, and roofing, to a full array of services such as engineering, architectural and renewable energy installations, Greenbuild is the single destination with the most complete perspective of the current state-of-the-art for the green building industry.
Adding to its tremendous exhibitors, Greenbuild brings the world’s foremost thought leaders together to share their collective insights through over 200 educational sessions. There are 13 different educational tracks ranging from affordable housing, building performance, zero waste, smart systems, to wellness. These sessions include tours to local green building examples, as well as Continuing Education credits.
As a major attraction, Greenbuild offers some of the most profound keynote speakers. This year, President Barak Obama will speak on the 20th of November. As a champion of clean energy, Obama will be sure to inspire the audience in a most moving manner for all who attend. Additional keynotes include Dr. Bernice King, the CEO for the Martin Luther King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, championing her parent’s legacy and teachings.
When it comes to networking, Greenbuild offers many special events from its networking receptions in the exhibit area, the USGBC Leadership Awards Ceremony, and to its grand event called Greenbuild Celebration. Greenbuild is truly a remarkable opportunity for the international sustainability community to meet, share ideas, and establish everlasting relationships with those who desire to make the world a better place.
