The Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York City, is offering 10 days of film screenings, panel discussion, field trips, receptions, parties, and a conference. This year marks the 9th annual festival, dedicated to environmental issues and the advancement of science. Categories include best ocean film, best animation film, best series film, best feature film, and best education film. View the schedule here.

Winners for the festival have been announced and include: Red Ape: Saving the Orangutan, The Hidden Tiger, Beyond Climate, Disappearing Wetlands, and more.

The festival was founded by Christopher J. Gervais, F.R.G.S., an award winning producer and thought leader in Environmental activism and the scientific community. Sponsors included thundering hooves, Wildlife Alliance, and Angama Mara. The Festival also partners with Wildlife Vassa in Finland, Matsalu Loodusfilmide Festival in Estonia, Athens International Digital Film Festival in Greece.
