Frontera Grill Demonstrates Sustainable Dining in Chicago

As consumers are becoming more aware of the impact of their actions, one thing many restaurant goers are starting to consider is the environmental impact of the food that they eat.

In Chicago, one restaurant paving the way for more sustainable dining is Frontera Grill. Frontera is one of celebrity chef Rick Bayless’ restaurants. It serves a variety of Mexican dishes, including tacos and grilled meats. What stands out in terms of sustainability is Frontera’s commitment to composting and their LEED certification.

LEED certification proves that a business, in this case Frontera Grill, was reviewed by a third-party organization and met rigorous criteria for sustainable “design, construction, operations, and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective [buildings]”.

With LEED certification and composting, customers know that Frontera Grill is a good option when considering sustainable dining in Chicago. If they really wanted to go above and beyond, they could look into plant-based options and local ingredient sourcing, but Frontera Grill is already taking major steps towards a greener future for the restaurant industry.
