On November 14-15, dozens of the most reputable solar companies will gather for the Solar & Energy Storage Midwest Conference at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. The event will run from 8 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, and from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Friday. The full, detailed schedule is available here.
The primary purpose of the event is to network with leading solar and green professionals in the Midwest area, and over 30 companies will have booths at the event. These companies include such names as Inovateus Solar, Fronius USA, and Panasonic. There will also be a number of companies representatives attending, but not holding a booth, including Mitsubishi Motors and Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. The event will cover a wide variety of topics relevant to green energy, such as solar and wind power, energy storage, distributed energy resources, electric vehicles, and more besides. The event will also host a wide variety of speakers, all of whom are industry professionals. Of note are Abigail Ross Hopper, CEO and President of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and Julia Hamm, CEO and President of the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). Some other speakers representing well-known companies are the Director of Public Policy at Sunrun, Amy Heart, and Nicole Luckey, the Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs at Invenergy LLC.
